Pre-OR Coverage: Zeal Optics creates innovative snow goggle

The 2010 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market starts tomorrow with the All Mountain Demo, but the real show begins on Thursday and runs through til Sunday. Appointments have been scheduled and we are looking forward to hearing about all the new products for the Fall 2010 lines. Here’s a sneak peak of a product from Zeal Optics we are really excited to hear more about.

You may already know Zeal Optics for their high quality sunglasses and snow goggles. In a recent press release from the company we learned about their latest innovation in snow goggles, a goggle with head mounted display technology that integrates into the goggle. Teaming up with Recon Instruments, the latest goggle from Zeal will feature an in-lens display with a GPS, vertical odometer, and real-time data like speed, temperature, altitude, and time.

Zeal Optics assures that the Transcend goggle will require little interaction during use and the graphics will be minimal and unobtrusive. However, you’ll have to wait till Fall 2010 to order a pair of what is being called “the most technologically advanced goggle in the world.”

This is just one of the cool products that are going to be showcased this week at Outdoor Retailer–stay tuned this week for more. We’ll be posting daily recaps of the latest and greatest products to hit the outdoor market, but you can also follow us on Twitter for our live updates from the showroom floor.
