Pre-OR Coverage: Brooks-Range enters the apparel market

Outdoor Retailer Winter Market begins today! We’re hitting the tradeshow floor this morning and will be checking out what is being showcased for the Fall 2010 season. We just learned about the latest from Brooks-Range Mountaineering Equipment Co. This week they will be debuting a new line of apparel, specifically down-filled products.

The new line will feature a vest, jacket, and waist-high sleeping bag (with suspenders). Brooks-Range is best known for their extensive line of mountaineering and ski guide equipment, but will now be bringing the same care and thought into apparel design as they have with their other products–the designers are outdoors enthusiasts themselves.

Each design features high quality, 800+ fill hypoallergenic Canadian goose down, and results in a lightweight (jacket weighing in at 146 grams) but very warm piece of clothing. Not only that, they are designed with breathable, wind and water resistant fabric to provide superior durability. You can check out the new products on the Brooks-Range website.

Check back tomorrow for our Outdoor Retailer: Day One recap!
