Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010 kicked off yesterday with the Open Air Demo at Jordanelle State Park in Heber City, Utah. Though we weren’t able to attend in person, word on the street is that it was a huge success with over 90 exhibitors offering demos of products that will hit the stores next spring and summer.
This year, attendees had the chance to demo all sorts of products in a wide range of activities from paddlesports equipment to GPS technology to hiking and backpacking gear. Though always a hit with attendees, the OAD gives attending retailers and store buyers the unique experience to test the gear they are planning to order for upcoming seasons. As a result, the list of brands exhibiting has grown tremendously, hoping to hook buyers with their new products.
