Two men were arrested this week after they mistakenly identified a game warden’s pick-up truck as a truck belonging to their supplier. The men were caught by two California Fish and Game wardens when they were found tossing bags of marijuana into the back of the truck.
The game wardens were scouting for deer poachers in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest when they discovered the marijuana operation. Five men were dragging duffel bags full of pot towards the truck when the wardens shouted at them to stop what they were doing. Two were handcuffed and the remaining three escaped.
Almost 130 pounds of pot were recovered from the scene, and one of the men apprehended was carrying a shotgun. On top of the illegal substance and gun charges, the two men are illegal immigrants and will most likely be deported.
