Mountain Hardwear launched a new social network last week aimed squarely at those interested in the outdoors. As of writing this there are only 219 members. I’m not quite sure what MHW is going for here, but I’ll be watching for some neat videos and pictures. My initial impressions are that this seems to be like an outdoor version of Facebook. Here’s hoping it’s successful.
At the moment MHW is running a contest for a bunch of free MHW gear for signing up. First place is a new Trango 2 tent (fantastic tent that will get you through just about any storm, albeit quite heavy). If we ever get some time to go camping, we may end up reviewing our new Trango 3.1 tent we picked up at the last MHW factory sale. Also up for grabs are a 0 degree sleeping bag, some jackets, and a backpack.
