We went up to Kachess Ridge yesterday and took some video and pictures. I wanted to post one of the Quicktime VR’s I took before I left for Boulder today.
Note that you’ll need QuickTime installed for this to work. Click and drag below to see a 360 degree view of Kachess Ridge:
Neat!
this is one of the most beautiful thing i ever saw!
why didn’t you climb up that tower for a better view?
The tower was closed and there’s not enough space up there to make a QTVR.
How do you do that? Tell me….please. LOL
Do you mean Kachess in Washington? I looked up Katchess on Google and it came up with Kachess. I lived at Kamp Kachess near Lake Kachess in the late 60′s. Very found memories and beautitful countryside.
when exactly were you at kamp? I was there from summer ’69 till end of summer ’71. I graduated from Easton High School in ’71, but Bob Crozier needed some help with Bureau of Land Mgmnt. job he had (he lived at Lake Kachess dam) for that summer, and he had me working with him, and I stayed in one of the second floor guest rooms in the main lodge. Have you been to the lodge or the “motels” lately? How’s it all look now? send me an E-mail !!! jkking.pharm@yahoo.com
I meant Lake Keechelus (sic.) dam for where Bob Crozier lived. We took care of all three finger lakes’ dams (Keechelus, Kachess, and Cle Elum) when I worked with him. Anybody know the Croziers? I graduated with Sue in ’71 from Easton High School. Anybody else know Kamp Kachess–are you alumni–did you attend the church camps (Western Wash. Church of God summer revivals were held at Kamp Kachess) there or at Black Lake (Olympia area)? Did you you know Kathy Knight from Renton? Or the Black sisters from Port Angeles? I got lots to talk about then!

I lived at Kamp Kachees from November 1971 to June of 1974.
If you were also a Kamp Kid (As we were called) I would like to hear from you. I remember lots of names and sure would like to know where life has taken you. Talk to you soon.
