Hi-Tec launches apparel line for Fall/Winter 2010

Hi-Tec has been making footwear for over 30 years now but one of the big announcements at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market was their venture into the apparel market for the upcoming fall/winter seasons. Using the same attention to detail, technology, and high quality materials as their extensive line of footwear, Hi-Tec presents a collection of 20 styles of outerwear for both men and women.

Staying true to one of their core values of providing high quality for good prices, every piece of the new apparel line will retail for under $200. The mix of parkas, shells, fleeces, and down-filled jackets/vests are designed for a wide variety of activities and have features like underarm vents, tune pockets, and waterproof zippers. Our two favorites were the Granite Peak Parka (for men) and the Trinity Peak Parka (for women). Both are 3-in-1 style jackets with a waterproof (10k/10k Dri-Tec shell) and zip-out insulating fleece liner and are reasonably priced at $200 for the men’s version and $190 for the women’s version. While the jackets will only be offered in one color selection initially, they chose simple colorways for their jackets that should please a wide variety of consumers.

We’ll be testing a few of the models in Hi-Tec’s outerwear line, as well as some new footwear styles, so be sure to check back for those reviews.
