We here at Daily Hiker like to encourage our readers to get outside. We also have a gear closet that needs a good cleaning. So, hopefully this giveaway will accomplish both goals.
We’re going to try something new for a giveaway this time around. Instead of giving away one of our shirts, we’re going to give away some gear. If this ends up being popular, we’ll do it again. If not, we’ll go back to giving away Daily Hiker Shirts.
What are we giving away? A rather nice High Peak Trango 65 backpack. It’s lightweight, it’s durable, and you’ll see our review of it in the next couple weeks.
So, what do you have to do to get it? We’ve been giving away free stickers for months. By my count, there are close to 20,000 of them out there in circulation. I’d love to see what you guys are doing with them.
Get outside and take a picture of you or your family being a Daily Hiker. be sure you get your sticker in the photo. Don’t have one? Write Daily Hiker in the dirt, on a sheet of paper, or wear a Daily Hiker t-shirt. Send the picture in an email to shirts@dailyhiker.com. Whoever we think would make the best home for our backpack gets it. Everything else we’ll post to an album on Facebook so you guys can see what everyone else is up to.
Since this may take some planning to take a photo, I’m going to let this go for 2 weeks. Get your photo in by August 1, 2011 and I’ll pick a new home for the backpack then.

Living roughly 4 miles from any major (snow ploughed) road I found it quite necessary to ” backpack” for groceries last winter.

Insted of everyone saying how much they want the pack or how much they need the pack or what they would do with the pack or why they need the pack why don’t you do as the what the contest calls for send in your dam picture reading some of the post make me think there a bunch of first grade school kids out there begging mom and dad for something they want. I want to see some good pictures myself send them in and quit begging
