Wow, last week was our most active giveaway to date. This week, we’re giving away a Sierra Designs Pyro 15 Sleeping Bag. We reviewed it a couple weeks ago and thought it was a pretty nice bag. Since then, it has been sitting in our gear closet waiting for someone to use it. Think you’ll make a better home? Well, here’s your chance to get it.
We’re giving away the sleeping bag we tested, and some probar halo bars. There may be some additional goodies in the bag if we get them from companies ahead of time.
Still interested? Here’s what you’ll have to do:
- Go outside this week and do whatever human powered activity you want to do (hiking, biking, kayaking, climbing, etc)
- Take a picture of yourself doing this activity
- Make sure there’s something in the picture that says “Daily Hiker” in it (so we know you’re actually going outside for the giveaway)
- Send the photo to shirts@dailyhiker.com by Sunday September 4, 2011
- We’ll pick someone to get the goodies on Monday September 5, 2011
You can use whatever you want that says Daily Hiker on it. If you have one of our free stickers or our t-shirts, that works. If you don’t, write “Daily Hiker” on masking tape, write it in the dirt, or spell it out in stones. Whichever picture we like the most gets the gear. Note, this isn’t a photography contest. So, you don’t have to go somewhere spectacular. As long as you’re getting out into the wilderness, we’re happy. There may be extra points awarded for creativity though.
Note that you need to send in a new picture to enter. We want people to get outside and have fun. So, if you’ve sent a picture in for a previous giveaway, go outside and take a new one.
The fine print:
You need to have a US or Canadian address for us to send the gear to.
Gear has no cash value
Since this is our ‘gear closet giveaway’, this gear is actually coming out of our gear closet. Thus, it may be slightly used during testing. There may be some dust or dirt on the products, but it should be pretty clean and workable.
Even though this has nothing to do with Facebook itself, we’d like to stay on their good side: So, “This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to Daily Hiker and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for this give away.”
