2009 was a busy year and we covered a lot of topics. Here are just a few of the top posts of the past year.
We reviewed a lot of gear–from the Origami Dishware faceoff to gadgets like the Timex Expedition WS4 watch. The faceoff was so popular we brought the idea to other products, like energy gels, chews, and drinks (part one and part two).
It wasn’t just gear reviews that kept you coming back–guides, like our Soft Shells vs. Hard Shells and Bear Safety While on the Trail provided the resources to keep you well-informed and safe on the trails.
Some of our most popular posts though were the factory sales–Mountain Hardwear, Marmot, and Nemo all had big sales this season.
However, the hot-button issue of the year had to be biphesnol-A (BPA), and the controversy surrounding a lot of water bottle manufacturers. Here’s just a few:
- SIGG water bottles contain BPA
- Laken water bottles contain BPA too
- Patagonia cuts all ties to SIGG
- Recent study links BPA to behavior problems
- Recent study shows BPA has effects on men, too
While this is just a small sample from 2009, let us know in the comments what keeps you coming back, or what you would love to see in 2010!
