Helmets and Snowsports

The New York Times published a great article last week about the increased use of helmets for skiing and snowboarding. In recent years, nearly half of all skiers and snowboarders use a helmet, according to the National Ski Area Association. This is an increase of roughly 25 percent from the 2002-03 ski/snowboard season.

Outdoor film to see: 180 South

If you’re someone who loves an adventure film, definitely check out the new film from Woodshed Films, 180 South. The film follows Jeff Johnson, a climber/surfer/writer inspired by the 1968 journey to Patagonia by Yvon Chouinard (founder of Patagonia) and Doug Tompkins (founder of The North Face).
